We're looking for a proactive and motivated Buyer Planner to join our Contract Manufacturing Commercial & Logistics team. In this dynamic role, you'll play a key part in managing a diverse portfolio of contract manufacturing- from supporting new product launches and negotiating supplier contracts, to ensuring seamless supply continuity and driving cost improvement initiatives.

You'll oversee the end-to-end materials and inventory flow between Nestlé sites and our contract manufacturers, while building strong supplier relationships that deliver real value to the business.

A day in the life…

Reporting to the Commercial & Logistics Manager, key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Sourcing & Commercial — Develop and execute sourcing strategies for each project, lead supplier negotiations, and agree on competitive commercial terms.
  • Contracts & Agreements — Manage end-to-end contractual processes, including confidentiality, trial, and manufacturing agreements, ensuring compliance and alignment with business requirements.
  • Materials & Inventory Management — Oversee the flow of materials and inventory between Nestlé sites and contract manufacturers, including the management of returns and SAP materials handling.
  • Supply Continuity & Risk Management — Drive and implement risk mitigation strategies to protect ongoing supply of outsourced products, proactively addressing potential disruptions.
  • Supplier Relationship Management — Foster a strategic approach to supplier management through structured Supplier Review Processes and deliver measurable value through Supplier Relationship Management tools and initiatives, including with overseas suppliers.
  • Cost Improvement — Identify and pursue cost-saving opportunities across the outsourced manufacturing portfolio through competitive benchmarking and sourcing activities.
  • Stakeholder Engagement — Partner with and challenge cross-functional stakeholders to ensure optimal decisions are made and the best commercial and operational outcomes are achieved.

What will make you successful

  • Joining a collaborative team of specialists, you will be a strong team player with a drive to deliver quality outcomes with efficiency and with a passion for continuous process improvement.
  • Degree qualification in Business/Supply Chain/Finance/Logistics/Engineering /Science/Food technology or a related field of study.
  • Experience in manufacturing processes, supply chain or procurement.
  • SAP experience, advanced excel, power BI knowledge and project management is advantageous.
  • Ability to influence, negotiate and facilitate change.
  • Ability to work efficiently, manage time and prioritize workload.
  • Ability to work autonomously, within a team environment and with all levels of seniority.
  • You will be able to confidently communicate with corporate, factory/ supply chain and external stakeholders.
