Our client is a highly successful, privately owned Australian property development and construction business with an established reputation for delivering premium residential apartments, mixed-use developments and bespoke luxury residences.

The business has built a reputation for creating exceptional projects and is entering an exciting growth phase, with a strong pipeline of development opportunities and increasing capital requirements.

As a result, an opportunity has been created for an experienced Capital Manager to work directly alongside the ownership group and play a key role in funding and delivering future developments.

This is a rare opportunity for an ambitious finance professional to create and shape a role that will become critical to the future growth of the business.

Position

Reporting directly to senior leadership, you will be responsible for analysing development opportunities, structuring capital solutions and managing relationships with lenders and investors.

You will work closely with the business on project feasibility analysis, debt and equity funding strategies and investor presentations while acting as a key interface between the business and external capital providers.

The role offers significant exposure to major development projects and will suit someone who enjoys combining analytical rigour with commercial influence and relationship management.

Profile

  • Build and maintain detailed development feasibility models for residential and mixed-use projects.
  • Analyse project returns, capital requirements, funding structures and investment opportunities.
  • Develop and optimise capital stack strategies across debt, equity and mezzanine funding structures.
  • Prepare investment papers, funding submissions and lender presentations.
  • Work closely with senior leadership to structure and pitch opportunities to banks, non-bank lenders, private investors and institutional capital providers.
  • Manage relationships with debt providers, financiers and investor networks.
  • Support funding negotiations and transaction execution.
  • Provide commercial insights to assist development and acquisition decisions.
  • Assist in identifying new funding sources and capital partners.
  • Contribute to the long-term capital strategy of the business.

About You

The successful candidate will likely come from one of the following backgrounds:

  • Property finance within a major bank.
  • Non-bank property lending.
  • Private credit or debt funds.
  • Real estate private equity.
  • Property investment or capital transactions.
  • Development finance or corporate finance advisory.

You will combine strong analytical capability with exceptional interpersonal skills and enjoy operating in a highly entrepreneurial environment.

Most importantly, you will have the confidence and commercial maturity to sit alongside senior leadership, participate in investor and lender meetings and help articulate the investment case behind major development projects.
