Fleet Mechanic

We are currently seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Fleet Mechanic to join us within our Fleet operations, fantastic variety in work requirements and vehicles.

What you will do

• Pre-Delivery tasks/ inspections in accordance with set instructions/ standards
• Fit out (Customisation) of Vehicles as per plan and/or instructed
• Safe manoeuvring of vehicles in and around the compound and workshop
• Perform required quality checks and be accountable for the workmanship of performed work
• Ensure that required records are completed accurately and submitted on time
• General automotive diagnostic and automotive accessory fitment
• Safe manoeuvring of vehicles in and around the compound and workshop
• Inspection of vehicles
• Surveying vehicles and completing company required documentation
• Marshall vehicles for load
• Perform stocktake

What you will bring

• A 'manual' driver's license
• Automotive mechanical/ electrical aptitude
• Mechanical Trade (or part thereof) qualified preferred but not necessary
• People person with a 'can do' attitude who is passionate, energetic and show initiative
• Prior experience within warehousing or distribution
• Strong attention to detail
• Willingness and ability to learn
• Proven skills in multitasking, managing your own time and meeting tight deadlines
• Prior experience in the auto industry preferred but not mandatory

Nice to have

• Mechanical Trade (or part thereof) qualified preferred but not necessary
• Team Leader experience an advantage
• Dealership servicing experience ideal but not necessary
• Previous experience in Automotive Trade and Quality Systems
