Clinical Study Manager (AI Training)

About The Role

What if your clinical trial expertise could directly shape how AI understands and supports the future of healthcare research? We're looking for experienced Clinical Study Managers to bring real-world operational knowledge to cutting-edge AI projects — helping ensure that AI systems trained on clinical data are grounded in how trials actually run.

This is a fully remote, flexible contract role built for seasoned clinical operations professionals who want meaningful, high-impact work on their own schedule.

  • Organization: Alignerr
  • Type: Hourly Contract
  • Location: Remote
  • Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

What You'll Do

  • Oversee clinical trial timelines, milestones, and deliverables to ensure projects stay on track and on budget
  • Manage study budgets, forecasting, and financial tracking across multiple vendors and research partners
  • Coordinate with CROs, clinical sites, and internal teams to drive smooth, high-quality study execution
  • Identify operational risks early, resolve issues decisively, and keep all stakeholders aligned throughout the trial lifecycle
  • Apply your clinical operations expertise to evaluate and improve AI-generated content related to clinical research workflows

Who You Are

  • Experienced in clinical trial project management — you've owned timelines, budgets, and vendor relationships across complex studies
  • Comfortable managing CROs, external research partners, and cross-functional teams simultaneously
  • A clear, structured communicator who can keep complex workstreams moving and stakeholders informed
  • Detail-oriented and proactive — you spot problems before they become crises
  • Self-motivated and reliable when working independently in a remote environment

Nice to Have

  • Prior experience with data annotation, data quality review, or evaluation systems
  • Familiarity with AI tools or clinical data platforms
  • Background spanning multiple therapeutic areas or trial phases
  • Experience contributing to SOPs, quality frameworks, or process improvement initiatives

Why Join Us

  • Work alongside leading AI research labs on projects at the intersection of clinical science and artificial intelligence
  • Fully remote and flexible — structure your hours around your life, not the other way around
  • Freelance autonomy with the substance of meaningful, expert-level work
  • Gain direct exposure to advanced LLMs and how real-world clinical knowledge shapes the next generation of AI
  • Potential for ongoing work and contract extension as new projects launch
