About the position

An exciting opportunity to deliver accurate, compliant, and timely payroll services across our international workforce, spanning Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, Canada, and the United States, with scope to support future markets as the business grows. In this stand alone Payroll Manager position you will be responsible for payroll processes, statutory obligations, and international employment requirements, you will ensure employees are paid accurately and the business remains compliant.

Key Responsibilities include

  • Manage all aspects of fortnightly payroll processing, ensuring accuracy, compliance and timely delivery across Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom, Canada and the United States, with scope to expand into new markets.
  • Accurately process payroll calculations, including back pays, allowances, overtime, and termination payments.
  • Manage PAYG, superannuation, payroll tax and other statutory deductions in a timely manner.
  • Oversee and maintain WorkCover and other Worker’s Insurance documentation, registration, payroll updates, claim submissions, and communication with insurers for all Cullen locations.
  • Conduct regular payroll audits and ensure employee leave balances and entitlements are accurate.
  • Complete month-end and year-end payroll-related financial processes.
  • Partner with P&C and Finance to support budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Respond to payroll queries with professionalism and discretion.
  • Keep up to date with legislative and regulatory changes impacting payroll.

What are we seeking?

  • Proven experience coordinating and managing end-to-end payroll administration and processing within a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets.
  • Strong ability to interpret and apply Fair Work awards, agreements, and relevant legislation.
  • Excellent communication skills for internal and external stakeholder collaboration, offers valuable feedback, and raises opportunities for improvement when needed to achieve the best outcomes.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently manage responsibilities.
  • Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to respond to changing work demands.
