Overview
The Systems Engineer is accountable to the CAF16 Engineering Manager to perform and achieve design, integration and testing within an integrated workforce. Requires in-depth knowledge of legislative frameworks, government decision-making, the Land Materiel Safety Manual, and Defence Aviation Safety Regulation.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain engineering related artefacts (e.g. SEMP, TCP) for CAF16 Systems.
- Support the engineering and configuration management activities for CAF16.
- Develop and review capability engineering requirements and procedural documentation.
- Be the interface between CAF16 Engineering Manager and CAF16 System Managers.
- Assist the CAF16 Engineering Manager to prepare for Configuration Control Boards (CCBs) and JC2SPO Engineering Review Boards (ERB).
- Perform quality control on engineering documentation submitted to the CoA by vendors.
- Attain Technical/Engineering Authority commensurate with experience, knowledge and qualifications.
- Develop and authorise ECPs appropriate to assigned Technical/Engineering Authority.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Engineering experience and qualifications (essential).
- Demonstrated experience and familiarity with CASG project engineering activities and planning.
- Demonstrated experience with Systems Engineering, preferably within CASG/Defence environment.
- Knowledge/experience of Defence C2 systems/applications.
- Advanced technical writing skills and strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
