A rewarding role's - in more ways than one

Victoria Daly Regional Council is looking for expressions of interest for:

• Council Operations Officers (Parks & Gardens).
• Community Night Patrol Officers
• Community Services (Aged Care).

The Council Operations Officers help maintain community spaces. This role supports keeping Nauiyu clean, safe and welcoming for everyone to enjoy.

The Community Night Patrol Officers play an important role in enhancing community safety and wellbeing. Work alongside others to support and look out for residents during the evening.

Community Services (Aged Care) provide care, companionship, and support to elders. This role is vital in ensuring our older community members feel respected, valued, and connected.

How You'll Make a Difference

We are looking for a number of compassionate individuals who possess a strong sense of integrity and a positive attitude.

Council Operations Officers

• Perform grounds maintenance in community and minor road works.
• Disposal of debris and litter from recreation areas and within townships and communities.
• Maintain all equipment and plant used in a safe, clean and serviceable condition.
• Maintain a safe working environment and ensure WHS regulations are adhered to.

Community Night Patrol

• Provide consistent and regular community night patrols in the community.
• Work in partnership with schools, health clinics, sobering-up shelters, safe houses and women’s refuges and other services in the community.
• Provide advice, information and/or assistance that may reduce risk to individuals.
• Perform other duties as directed by the Night Patrol Team Leader or the Community Safety and Wellbeing Coordinator.

Community Services (Aged Care)

• Provide hands-on support with daily living activities
• Assist with personal care, meals, transport, and domestic tasks
• Support clients’ physical, social, and emotional wellbeing
• Build positive relationships with clients, families, and the team
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment

Ideal Candidate profile

Other Requirements

• Criminal History Check (recent within 3 months)
• A current Working with Children’s Card.
• A current unrestricted Driver’s License.
• A Current First Aid Certificate. (Essential or willing to obtain)
