About Our Client

Reporting into the Payroll Manager, the Payroll Officer will be responsible for:
- Processing end-to-end payroll for all employees, ensuring timely and accurate payments
- Maintaining and updating payroll records in line with Australian legislation
- Handling payroll queries and providing clear, accurate information to employees and management
- Reconciling payroll accounts and preparing reports for management review
- Collaborating with the Accounting & Finance team to ensure seamless integration of payroll data
- Staying up to date with payroll legislation and ensuring compliance with awards and agreements
- Assisting with end-of-year payroll activities, including group certificates
- Contributing to process improvements to enhance payroll efficiency
The Successful Applicant
- Proven experience as a Payroll Officer in a high-volume, end-to-end payroll environment
- Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and compliance requirements (NZ exposure highly regarded)
- High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Confident communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with payroll systems such as ADP or SuccessFactors (advantageous, not essential)
- A proactive, team-oriented approach with the ability to manage competing deadlines
