A leading organisation in Brisbane is seeking a Change Specialist to support the delivery of transformation initiatives and help translate operating models and technical inputs into practical change outputs.
What you'll do
As a Change Specialist based in Brisbane, you will play a pivotal role in supporting transformation initiatives across the organisation. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve collaborating with both business and technical teams to understand operating models and process changes. You will be instrumental in identifying how these changes impact people, processes, and technology. By developing key artefacts such as impact assessments, stakeholder lists, process documentation, user guides, training materials, and support resources, you will ensure that complex concepts are translated into accessible formats for all audiences. Communication is at the heart of this role; you will assist in preparing clear messaging tailored for different groups within the organisation while maintaining communication schedules across various channels.
Stakeholder coordination is another critical aspect, efforts will help map relationships and facilitate engagement activities like workshops or feedback sessions. Throughout the project lifecycle you will contribute to readiness activities including surveys and adoption tracking while maintaining logs for actions taken. Your involvement in lessons learned reviews will drive continuous improvement within the team. Success in this position requires attention to detail, adaptability in changing environments, strong interpersonal skills for building relationships with colleagues and stakeholders alike and above all a commitment to supporting positive change throughout every stage of transformation.
- Assist in understanding operating models, process changes, and system impacts by collaborating with business and technical stakeholders to gather information and insights.
- Support the identification of change impacts across people, process, and technology by analysing data and feedback from various sources.
- Develop a foundational understanding of how technology changes affect end users by engaging with teams and observing project outcomes.
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of change artefacts such as impact assessments, stakeholder lists, engagement trackers, process documentation, user guides, training materials, and support resources.
- Translate technical or complex concepts into clear, user-friendly documentation that ensures outputs are accurate, consistent, and aligned with organisational standards.
- Assist in drafting and preparing communications under guidance from the Change Manager to deliver clear messaging to internal teams and customers.
- Help tailor communication for different audiences including frontline staff, leadership, and customers by maintaining schedules and channels such as intranet updates and email packs.
- Support stakeholder mapping and tracking activities by coordinating engagement events like workshops, meetings, and feedback sessions.
- Build working relationships with team members and stakeholders through regular interaction and collaborative problem-solving.
- Assist with readiness activities such as surveys, checklists, adoption tracking, maintaining change logs, action trackers, reporting updates, lessons learned documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
