Cloud Solutions Architect

Our client is a leading company within the utilities industry who are looking for an experienced Cloud Solutions Architect to support the design and delivery of enterprise technology solutions across a large-scale transformation portfolio.

This is a 12-month contract with strong likelihood of extension.

This role will focus on solution architecture with a strong cloud focus, ensuring technology solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned to enterprise standards. Working closely with delivery teams, business stakeholders, and security functions, you will provide architectural leadership across a broad range of initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and deliver end-to-end solution architectures across complex technology programs
• Provide architecture leadership across cloud-based platforms and services
• Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture principles, standards, and roadmaps
• Collaborate with business, delivery, infrastructure, and security teams to develop fit-for-purpose solutions
• Review and govern solution designs to ensure scalability, resilience, and maintainability
• Support cloud adoption and modernisation initiatives
• Provide architectural oversight throughout the project lifecycle
• Work closely with cybersecurity teams to ensure solutions meet governance and compliance requirements

Key Requirements

• Proven experience as a Solutions Architect within large enterprise environments
• Experience within regulated or critical infrastructure environments
• Strong cloud architecture experience across AWS, Azure, or similar cloud platforms
• Experience designing complex enterprise applications, integrations, and technology solutions
• Strong understanding of cloud security, governance, and risk management principles
• Ability to balance business requirements with technical, operational, and security considerations
• Experience working across infrastructure, applications, data, and integration domains
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills

• Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks and governance processes
• Relevant cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, TOGAF, etc.)
