Your new role
The Enterprise Architect plays a pivotal role in shaping and enabling client digital transformation. This role is part of the Strategy and Architecture function, working closely with cross-functional engineering, operations, and delivery teams to ensure architecture is actionable, collaborative, and aligned with agile ways of working. The architect will lead domain-specific initiatives focusing on areas including modern business product digitisation, re-use and loosely coupled architecture approaches, supporting the engineering function as they mature CI/CD processes, and ensuring that architecture is not only strategic but also deeply connected to delivery and operations.
- Ensure proposed solutions are delivering to client Business Objectives.
- Develop and document solution architectures that align with enterprise reference architectures, design standards, and client technology strategy.
- Extensive experience as an Enterprise Architect, Chief Architect, Lead Architect or equivalent in complex organisations.
- Demonstrated success supporting large-scale transformation programs.
- Strong understanding of business architecture, application architecture, integration, data and technology architecture.
- Ability to rapidly assess unfamiliar environments and identify material risks and opportunities.
- Proven ability to produce concise, high-impact executive decision papers.
- Experience establishing practical architecture governance and design review processes.
- Strong facilitation and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to influence senior executives and vendors.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
What you'll need to succeed
- Extensive experience in at least three of the following disciplines: business, information, solution or technical architecture, application development, cloud, security and information analysis, database management or operations in a multitier environment.
- Extensive experience in strategic and operations planning and/or business analysis in a public sector, or similarly complex environment
- Enterprise integration and API design
- SaaS implementation and vendor-led delivery
- Data architecture and information flows
- Security and risk considerations in regulated environments
- Cloud and modern application architectures
- Architecture modelling and analysis tools
Desirable
- Experience in government, insurance, justice or dispute resolution environments.
- Familiarity with Victorian Government governance and procurement practices.
- Knowledge of case management and workflow platforms.
- Experience with ReadyTech, Salesforce or similar enterprise platforms.
- Relevant qualifications such as TOGAF, ArchiMate or equivalent.
