The purpose of this role is to manage a portfolio of Liability claims in accordance with policies and procedures ensuring the most cost-effective and timely outcomes are achieved. Provide technical assistance, advice and support to entry level or Claims officers as required.

What You’ll Do

  • End to end management of Liability claim files ensuring best practice processes and procedures are maintained in a cost effective and timely manner
  • Provide underwriters and claims manager with feedback from issues or risk deficiencies identified during a claim’s management, and develop own technical and engineering industry knowledge.
  • Contribute to the development of Specialty’s market profile through superior claims service to our targeted market segment
  • Act as a subject matter expert for the immediate team in the area of Liability claims, and assist with technical queries relating to policy, product knowledge, systems, processes or procedures
  • Provide specialist technical and/or professional advice for the authorisation and approval of complex claims, relying on analysis and experience to arrive at the correct course of action.

What You’ll Bring

  • Tertiary qualifications in law, business or insurance (mandatory)
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience managing a portfolio of liability claims
  • Ability to develop solutions and courses of action by using an information base to identify key issues, compare with other data and determine cause-effect relationships
  • Ability to convey and explain information, coherently and confidently both oral and written
  • Commitment to increasing customer experience and delivering high quality solutions within required timeframes.
