Great opportunity to join a growing contractor on a large bulk earthwork project with an attractive pipeline.

Working as part of the delivery team on either a high end residential project or industrial project Sydney, you’ll will be responsible for safe, efficient, and accurate supervision of heavy plant and equipment to achieve project milestones.

The role is a Site Manager running a project circa $60m+ new build project reporting into a Senior PM. You’ll be expected to manage quality, ensure that programme is being delivered to time and to the correct cost, you’ll be managing all logistics and n site programme.

Candidates need to have experience successfully delivering projects of this magnitude from inception to completion. Projects they work on are generally Industrial or high end residential.

Responsibilities include but not limited to

  • Conduct onsite HSE and quality inductions with all onsite staff / subcontractors
  • Complete daily site diary entries
  • Review and manage key project issues
  • Liaise with statutory bodies ensuring all relevant notifications are made
  • Ensure site compound and amenities are established and maintained
  • Organise all site inspections with clients, authorities and consultants
  • Assist Senior Project Manager with preparing scopes of work
  • Understand head and subcontractor contracts, especially in relation to timeframes
  • Produce and manage defect lists for subcontractors prior to finishing works

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Trade or building related Qualification
  • Minimum 5 to 10yrs years’ experience in site supervision of construction projects including planning, programming and management of onsite staff / subcontractors
  • Construction Safety Induction (White) card
  • Senior First Aid Certificate
  • Desirable – Certificate IV in Occupational Health & Safety
  • Sound knowledge of legislation, regulations and standards relating to building sites
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate subcontractors
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
