About the Role

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will lead reliability initiatives across a complex fleet of mobile and fixed assets, partnering closely with Mechanical, Electrical and Planning teams to improve equipment performance, reduce reactive maintenance and optimise asset lifecycle outcomes.

This is a highly visible role focused on moving the business from traditional maintenance practices towards a more proactive, data-driven reliability culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement reliability strategies, condition monitoring programmes and preventative maintenance improvements.
  • Analyse asset performance data, identify failure trends and lead root cause investigations.
  • Improve key reliability metrics including equipment availability, MTBF, MTTR and PM compliance.
  • Partner with maintenance and operations teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support asset lifecycle planning, equipment upgrades and automation projects.
  • Influence stakeholders across engineering, operations and maintenance functions to embed reliability best practice.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Proven reliability engineering experience within a 24/7 industrial, manufacturing, mining, logistics, or other asset-intensive environment.
  • Strong understanding of reliability methodologies including RCA, condition monitoring and preventative maintenance optimisation.
  • Experience using CMMS platforms such as Maximo, Oracle, SAP or equivalent.
  • Strong analytical capability with the ability to convert data into practical improvement initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence long-tenured operational teams.
  • Mechanical or Electrical background considered, with reliability expertise being the key driver.
