Manager Operations Excellence

As part of the team in Operations Excellence, you'll be the driving force behind initiatives that enhance efficiency, strengthen compliance, and create a seamless technology experience across HBF.
You'll partner with leaders across Technology & Cyber and the wider business to challenge the status quo, eliminate manual effort, optimise processes, and maximise the value of our technology investments.
As the go-to for solving complex operational challenges you will play a critical leadership role through influence, mentoring, stakeholder engagement and enterprise-wide collaboration in this 12-month opportunity with potential to extend.
Your day to day
- Lead strategic operational excellence and productivity initiatives across Technology & Cyber
- Drive technology simplification programs that reduce complexity and improve business outcomes
- Enhance employee productivity and engagement through better technology experiences
- Partner with business leaders to improve governance, compliance, and risk management practices
- Identify opportunities to leverage emerging technologies, including AI, to improve operational performance
- Build strong relationships across HBF to influence change and drive continuous improvement
What you bring
You're a natural improvement leader who thrives on solving complex problems, challenging inefficient processes, and creating better ways of working. You combine strong analytical capability with excellent stakeholder engagement skills and enjoy bringing people together to deliver meaningful change.
Your previous experience could be as a Business Analyst or Project Manager leading and would include implementing change, preferably within tech.
You'll also bring
- Six Sigma Green or Black Belt (or equivalent) and experience identifying and implementing process improvements using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies
- Baseline understanding of Identity & Access Management (IAM) and IT Service Management (ITSM) principles and practices (e.g. access controls, user lifecycle, incident/request/change processes)
- General understanding of operational processes and IT systems
- Sharp problem-solving, analytical thinking and business analysis skills
- Experience in risk management, governance, and compliance
