The Opportunity

Communities have child protection offices located throughout Western Australia. We are seeking experienced candidates to fill future permanent and temporary opportunities that arise in Bunbury, Busselton, Collie and Manjimup within the South West region over the next 12 months. We currently have one permanent vacancy available in Collie, and one temporary 12 month opportunity available in Bunbury.

Team Leaders provide operational and professional leadership across child protection, children in care and family support service delivery.

Reporting to the District Director or other senior leaders, the role is responsible for leading a district-based team, supervising complex statutory casework, and ensuring high standards of practice in accordance with the Children and Community Services Act 2004. The position plays a critical role in safeguarding the safety, wellbeing and development of vulnerable children and supporting families across Western Australia.

Qualification Requirements

You must have a Bachelors degree in Social Work, Psychology or relevant human services area to be eligible for this position. All overseas qualifications must also be assessed for Australian equivalency.
