Content and Communications Specialist
MPA
About The Role
This is a role for a writer first and foremost. The Content & Communications Specialist is MPA's brand voice custodian – the person who brings our story to life across every channel and every audience.
Our work is genuinely compelling: complex, high-stakes fitout projects that transform how people experience work. Your job is to make sure that story lands – in the case studies that showcase our projects, the social content that builds our profile, the award submissions that recognise our impact, the internal communications that connect our 150+ team to our purpose, and the submissions that help us win new work.
You'll sit within the Bids and Marketing team, acting as the connective tissue between our projects and our communications – interviewing project teams, finding the story, and turning it into content that works hard across multiple outputs.
In a world where AI can generate content at scale, this role is defined by something different: judgment, voice and the ability to make MPA's work genuinely compelling to the people who matter most. You'll also be expected to use AI tools actively – not as a shortcut, but as a way to produce more, better, faster.
Day To Day, Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Owning and stewarding MPA's tone of voice; maintaining practical guidelines and holding the standard across all written output.
- Capturing project stories through interviews with project teams and translating them into compelling case studies, capability statements and data sheets
- Producing written content across marketing channels; LinkedIn, website, EDMs, thought leadership and campaign materials
- Managing the awards calendar and writing submissions that demonstrate genuine impact and outcomes
- Developing and delivering the internal communications plan that keeps 150+ people informed and connected
- Contributing written content to tender submissions; executive summaries, capability narratives and methodology responses
- Using and championing AI writing tools to increase content output and support the wider team
About You
- 5+ years' experience in a copywriting, content or communications role, ideally in-house in construction, architecture or professional services
- Exceptional writing ability across formats, a portfolio that shows range: case studies, social copy, award submissions, internal comms and marketing content
- Experience developing or stewarding brand tone of voice, with the ability to produce guidelines that others can actually use
- Comfortable contributing to business development content; proposals, capability statements or similar
- An active and thoughtful user of AI writing tools – someone who sees them as a superpower and can help the team use them more effectively
- Strong project management skills and the ability to work autonomously across a complex, multi-output role
- Genuinely curious about the built environment – interested in projects, places and the people who make them
- A collaborator who builds trust across teams quickly and is known for making everyone's written output better
