Are you a proactive, people-focused recruitment professional looking to make an impact in a fast-paced, hospitality-driven environment? Waymark Hotels is seeking a dedicated Recruitment Officer to join our HR team in Fortitude Valley, supporting recruitment across a variety of hospitality roles in regional Queensland.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment for group vacancies including drafting & posting job advertisements, selection criteria, candidate management, reference checking, and drafting offer letters.
  • Provide recommendations to hiring managers on candidate selection by evaluating skills, cultural fit, and business needs, ensuring fair and strategic hiring decisions.
  • Oversee the onboarding process for key appointments (e.g. Hotel Managers, Executive Chefs, Department Heads) including preparation of onboarding schedules, coordination of welcome communications, and collection of mandatory compliance documentation.
  • Assist with immigration and visa processes for new hires, including coordinating documentation, liaising with migration agents, and tracking visa timelines.
  • Build and maintain Waymark’s Talent Community.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of current recruiting programs and strategies regularly and provide further recommendations for success.

What We’re Looking For

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar Recruitment role, ideally within hospitality or a fast-paced industry.
  • Proven experience managing end-to-end recruitment.
  • Excellent administration skills.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities.
  • A collaborative and solutions-focused approach.
