About The Role

The Finance Solutions Developer is responsible for integrating technology into financial processes. The ideal candidate will bring strong qualifications and experience in analytics, SQL and a passion for problem-solving. You will leverage

your technical expertise to design, develop and implement automated financial solutions that integrate data from multiple sources, ensuring high accuracy and seamless end-to-end operations.

Your work will empower smarter, faster, and more data-driven decisions across finance, trading, and commercial teams, driving efficiency, transparency, and

strategic insight across the organisation.

This is a 12 month maximum-term role based in Melbourne.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead the integration of technology into financial processes, driving automation, system enhancements, and change initiatives to improve efficiency and scalability.
  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy through rigorous system checks and validation procedures, maintaining compliance with control, governance, and risk management requirements.
  • Design and implement scalable, efficient systems solutions for complex financial models including contract valuation and derivative analysis, and real-time profit & loss (P&L) as well as mark-to-market (MTM) performance monitoring of financial positions.
  • Collaborate with Trading, Risk, and Technology teams to align data architecture and deliver technical solutions that support strategic objectives.
  • Continuously improve existing financial operations by automating recurring processes and reports to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.

What You'll Bring

  • Degree in Engineering, Analytics, Computer or Data Science, Mathematics, Finance, or a related field.
  • Strong coding expertise in languages such as SQL, Python, R, or others, with experience in developing, automating, and maintaining financial systems.
  • Proficient in data visualisation tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
  • Experience with database management, data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
  • Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving skills and experience in data-driven decision-making.
  • High attention to detail, ensuring data integrity and compliance.
  • Passion for understanding the sector’s financial drivers and data intricacies and nuances.
