The Opportunity
The Advancing Innovation in Respiratory (AIR) Health Team is a multi-disciplinary group with expertise in clinical medicine, clinical trials, and respiratory biology, who are committed to improving the lives of children and families with respiratory diseases, such as cystic fibrosis and asthma.
As our program continues to grow, we now have an exciting opportunity for a Program Coordinator to provide essential administrative and operational support across our research programs. Working closely with the Program Manager, this role primarily supports the BANK CF biobank initiative, including the organisation and management of research samples and associated data to ensure they are accurately recorded, tracked, and available for approved future research use. This role will also support the integration of samples collected through previous cystic fibrosis research studies and contribute to the ongoing management of BANK CF's biospecimen collection.
This role will also provide broad administrative and operational support to the AIR Health research programs as required, including assistance across multiple concurrent cystic fibrosis and asthma projects.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate meetings, including scheduling, agendas, minutes, and action tracking.
- Support preparation of grant applications, milestone reports, and funding deliverables.
- Coordinate project documentation, timelines, and reporting requirements across multiple studies.
- Maintain operational records supporting accurate biobank inventory management.
- Maintain audit-ready databases and ensure accurate capture of participant, consent, and study data.
Based in our offices within Perth Children’s Hospital in Nedlands, this full-time role will be offered for an initial 18-month period. Part-time (0.8 FTE) will be considered for the right candidate.
The salary range for this role is 90,000.00 - 95,000.00 (full-time equivalent) + Super
About You
The successful candidate will be organised and adaptable, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a varied research environment. You will hold a relevant tertiary qualification (e.g. health sciences, biomedical science, project management) or possess equivalent experience. Along with this, you will demonstrate:
- Experience coordinating projects, or operational activities, preferably within a research, healthcare, university, or scientific environment, including the management of multiple concurrent priorities.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and databases, with strong attention to detail and a commitment to data quality, integrity, and confidentiality.
- Experience coordinating operational processes, including tracking workflows, managing documentation, and supporting delivery of project milestones.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, including researchers, clinicians, laboratory personnel, and external partners.
