Position Summary

This is a Full-time permanent position, working Monday to Friday from 4:54am to 1pm. You will be part of a team responsible for the spray painting of automotive components such as bull bars, side rails, canopy shells, and ute lids. The successful candidate will work with a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, supported with on-the-job training to grow your skills.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces and spray paint automotive parts
• Mix and apply paint in line with specifications
• Conduct minor defect correction and finishing
• Detailing as required
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in the work area
• Maintain tools, equipment and booths in line with maintenance program

Skills, Qualifications, and Experience Required:

• At least 3 years of relevant, full-time work experience as a spray painter (or part-time equivalent)
• Open to 3rd year apprentices, or recently qualified.
• Experience in preparing and spray painting automotive or industrial parts
• Familiarity with colour matching and finishing
• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting
• Formal spray painting qualification (e.g., Certificate III in Automotive Refinishing Technology) is preferred but not essential
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to work to deadlines and within a team
• Good time management and communication skills
