Retail Property Manager

Manage a national portfolio of retail property leases
Develop and maintain an exceptional network of industry contacts aligned with each brand’s retail strategy
Monitor existing leases, critical dates and property-related risks and opportunities
Propose initiatives or actions to ensure that rent/sales ratio is maintained at acceptable levels
Support renovations, relocations and closures from a property and leasing perspective
Secure retail locations and negotiate leases within required strategic, commercial and legal parameters
Support the delivery of new projects, including approvals, lease execution and site handovers
Contribute to retail expansion initiatives including Auckland
Routine market visits to discover retail opportunities and remain abreast of market insights

Minimum 3 years’ experience managing a property portfolio and facilities team for a multinational company, or as a leasing manager for a national retailer or shopping centre
Strong knowledge of Australia’s premium and luxury retail precincts, including high streets and shopping centres
Good knowledge of Auckland’s premium and luxury retail precincts, including high streets and shopping centres
Established network and strong relationships with landlords and leasing managers preferred
Excellent negotiation, communication and customer service skills
Proactive and innovative, with the ability to develop new ideas and solutions
Ability to prioritise tasks and perform effectively under pressure
Strong written and verbal communication skills
High level of computer literacy
Sound business acumen, organisational and analytical skills
Understanding of the full retail property lifecycle, including openings, refurbishments, operations and closures
