Greenspace Services Supervisor

Blacktown City Council

Job No: BC3598 Location: Blacktown, NSW

Work that matters, done with people who care.

As a Greenspace Services Supervisor, you will lead crews to maintain high use parks and reserves across the city. You will plan daily tasks, assign teams and ensure that mowing, edging, garden care and litter collection meet set standards. Prestart safety checks are part of each day, along with monitoring risks on site and ensuring equipment is used correctly. Provide clear direction and step in to support when work falls behind or conditions change.

Split your time between the depot and the field. One day may involve coordinating turf maintenance in a busy sports park, the next inspecting garden beds, irrigation or paths in a key reserve. You will check quality, address defects and organise follow up work to keep spaces safe and presentable while working through weather delays, tight timeframes and competing priorities.

This role shapes how people experience these spaces each day. Clean, safe and well-kept parks support families, events and daily use across the community. Your leadership will lift team performance and support the upkeep of these public spaces.

At Blacktown City Council, good people make great teams – and great teams build great cities. Here, you will find the stability and support to keep growing, along with:

  • a secure, permanent role with one of Australia's largest councils
  • an entry level salary commencing at $1,790.59 per week, plus an additional 10.38% in accordance with Council's flexibility agreement
  • penalty rates apply for weekend shifts
  • a 41-hour working week
  • a Rostered Day Off (RDO) every fortnight
  • 12% superannuation and generous leave entitlements
  • ongoing training and development support
  • access to Fitness Passport, social clubs and wellbeing programs.
