The Role and Responsibilities
Integrity Management is seeking an experienced NACE / AMPP Level 2 Coatings Inspector to join our team and support current Defence maritime sustainment projects.
This role will involve providing third-party coatings inspection support, including surface preparation inspections, coating inspections, DFT measurements, documentation review, reporting, and coordination with project stakeholders.
Ideally, the successful candidate will reside in the region and be available to work Monday to Friday, with flexibility to work weekends as required.
Key responsibilities include:
- Liaise with supervisors, crews, contractors, and client representatives.
- Conduct surface preparation inspections.
- Conduct coating application inspections.
- Conduct DFT measurements and coating inspections.
- Review and interpret specifications, ITPs, product Technical Data Sheets and project documentation.
- Identify and report coating quality issues.
- Prepare inspection reports and associated documentation.
- Maintain accurate filing, archiving, and inspection records.
- Participate in quality, safety, and OQE audits.
- Maintain inspection equipment and equipment registers.
- Support suitable project outcomes through effective communication with multiple stakeholders.
- Demonstrate a strong focus on specifications, standards, safety, and quality requirements.
- Defence or naval asset experience is desirable.
- Australian citizenship is preferred.
Requirements
You will have the following qualifications, experience and certifications:
- Current NACE Level 2 / AMPP CIP Level 2 accreditation.
- Minimum 3 years’ relevant coatings inspection experience.
- Defence experience preferred.
- Confined Space Entry certification.
- Working Safely at Heights certification.
- White Card.
- Current driver’s licence.
- Good understanding of specifications, ITPs and product Technical Data Sheets.
- Good computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and email correspondence.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to liaise professionally with multiple contractors and stakeholders.
- Must hold an Australian resident visa as a minimum requirement; Australian citizenship is preferred.
- National Police Clearance within 30 days.
- Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening.
