Role Overview

This role provides enterprise level solution architecture across multiple concurrent initiatives, ensuring solutions are secure-by-design, cloud-aligned, integration-ready, and scalable for future growth.

Role

The role will operate horizontally across business and technology domains, supporting project delivery while maintaining architectural integrity and alignment with FPH’s strategic direction, including:

• Cloud-first architecture (AWS)
• Enterprise integration standardisation (Boomi, API-first, event-driven patterns)
• Identity and Access Management (Entra ID, SailPoint, SSO, MFA, PAM, Zero Trust identity architectures)
• IoT and edge computing (AWS IoT Core, Greengrass)
• OT/IT convergence and network segmentation
• Enterprise data platform alignment (Snowflake)
• AI and emerging intelligent systems governance
• Cyber resilience and compliance in a critical infrastructure environment

This role requires strong cross-domain capability, architectural judgement, and the ability to influence outcomes across multiple stakeholders and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide solution architecture oversight across multiple concurrent projects, ensuring alignment with Flinders Port Holdings' strategic goals;
• Develop and review solution designs to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards and long term strategic direction;
• Identify and mitigate architectural risks early, including integration, security, scalability and operational resilience risks;
• Guide solution design across AWS cloud environments, for example, serverless, networking, IAM and IoT services;
• Ensure identity is treated as the primary security control pane across cloud, SaaS, enterprise and OT-integrated environments;
• Provide architectural guidance and oversight for identity and access management solutions including Entra ID, SailPoint, PAM, SSO and MFA;
• Ensure solutions align to cloud-native, API first and event driven architectural principles where appropriate;
• Support structured and governed adoption of emerging technologies;
• Validate identity, access control, logging and audit requirements are addressed in solution designs;
• Provide architectural challenge, guidance and constructive direction; and
• Communicate architectural decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

About You

Your skills and experience will include:

• Demonstrated experience as a Solutions Architect operating across multiple technology domains;
• Demonstrated experience in critical infrastructure, highly regulated, or complex enterprise environments;
• Demonstrated experience in designing AWS environments including networking, IAM, landing zones, security services, serverless architectures, API services etc;
• Demonstrated experience in designing identity architectures including Entra ID, SailPoint, SSO, MFA, conditional access, workflows and identity lifecycle governance;
• Experience in integrating identity platforms across SaaS, cloud, enterprise and OT environments;
• Broad foundational understanding of enterprise technology architectures including networking, identity and authentication, operating systems (Windows/Linux), infrastructure platforms, cloud platforms especially AWS and hybrid IT/OT environments; and
• Demonstrated experience reviewing solution designs for alignment with core infrastructure architectures including networking, identity, authentication, and platform services.
