Overview
We're looking for a reliable and enthusiastic individual who is flexible and willing to cover various tasks necessary to run a Wash Hub; a facility central to our turnkey reusable cup program, Borrow. We're looking for someone who has the appetite to support events, deliver and pick up cups and can cover other ad-hoc tasks required to deliver the service.
Aside from the above, the role involves managing day-to-day operations in the wash hub, including handling reusable coffee cups, operating a commercial dishwasher, and maintaining the warehouse space. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Warehouse Operations: Oversee the daily running of the warehouse, ensuring efficient workflows and organisation.
- Dishwasher Operation: Operate and maintain a commercial dishwasher to clean reusable coffee cups, following health and safety standards, and manage a small team of casual wash staff
- Deliveries: D elivering and collecting cups within our Sydney serviceable area in our EV van.
- Loading and Unloading: Unload deliveries and load products as needed, ensuring proper handling of inventory.
- Packing: Sort, inspect, and pack reusable coffee cups for distribution.
- Maintenance: Perform general maintenance and housekeeping duties to keep the warehouse clean, safe, and well-organised.
- Inventory Management: Assist with receiving, checking, and storing incoming deliveries; maintain accurate inventory records.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with warehouse safety standards and report any issues or hazards to the Warehouse Manager.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in warehouse operations or similar roles is preferred.
- Drivers licence required.
- Ability to operate machinery such as a commercial dishwasher & a walk-behind forklift (no licence required)
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 15kg) as required.
- Basic computer skills for inventory management.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety procedures.
Working Conditions
- Full-time, may include weekends or early mornings.
- Physical role requiring frequent lifting, standing, and movement throughout the day.
