Role Objective
Responsible for the installation, configuration, optimization, maintenance, and administrative support of multi-user computing environments, operating systems, and distributed communication systems infrastructure to ensure system integrity, security, data backup, and operational performance across Virgin Australia’s enterprise locations in Melbourne.
Core Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain the enterprise Standard Operating Environment (SOE) images. Administer system deployment workflows and utilize Microsoft Intune to provision workstation/communication devices operating systems and underlying software baselines.
Maintain the health, performance, and stability of all enterprise servers, networks, and connected devices across all operational sites.
Manage centralized user directory structures and Organizational Units using Active Directory (AD) and Azure Active Directory (Entra ID).
Administer, troubleshoot, and perform routine checks on localized comms rooms, network switches, and critical peripheral infrastructure.
Ensure all aviation and corporate systems remain highly stable, properly patched, and fully compliant with global IT and aviation security standards.
- Mobile Device Aviation Endpoint Management (MDM):
Configure, update, and manage enterprise Mobile Device Management (MDM) profiles and application push policies, safeguarding localized endpoints.
Support internet and Wide Area Network (WAN) connectivity for corporate facilities, maintenance hangars, and airport terminal lounge.
Execute and audit localized data backup schedules, system restores to prevent system vulnerabilities and permanent data loss from local machines.
Hardware Lifecycle Asset Architecture Management: Manage the hardware lifecycle, including technical deployment, provisioning, and detailed asset tracking for workstations, mobile fleets, and specialized terminal devices.
