We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Developer (Ab Initio) for a contract engagement with a leading client in Sydney. This role is ideal for professionals with strong expertise in Ab Initio development, ETL/Data Warehousing, and data integration solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Ab Initio graphs and plans (Batch and Continuous Flows)
• Optimize and improve performance of existing Ab Initio applications
• Work with SQL, databases, and shell scripting for data processing solutions
• Participate in Agile development teams and contribute to end-to-end delivery
• Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze requirements and deliver scalable solutions

Required Skills

6+ years of hands-on experience with Ab Initio

Strong expertise in ETL and Data Warehousing projects

Experience with Ab Initio performance tuning and optimization

Knowledge of source control and code promotion processes

Strong SQL and database skills

Shell scripting experience (Unix/Linux)

Excellent analytical and communication skills

Preferred Skills

Continuous Flows experience

API-driven and real-time application development

Cloud-hosted Ab Initio environments

Secure coding practices
