About the Role
We are seeking a Junior Project Accountant to sit within our Finance team on the Queensland Train Manufacturing Program (QTMP). This position offers growth, exposure to an industry leading contractor and a supportive environment.
This role will suit someone who is confident and dynamic, at the beginning of their accounting career, and would like to pursue, or is currently pursuing their CPA qualification.
Key responsibilities
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with key stakeholders internally
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial information
- Provide financial analysis to assist in assessing profitability
- Identify and assess areas for continuous process improvements
About You
- Bachelors degree in finance or accounting, or equivalent business experience
- Currently completing or willing to complete a CPA/CA/CFA
- Extensive experience in finance and accounting roles, including project accounting, analysis, budgeting & forecasting
- Previous experience in project accounting within a multi-disciplinary environment
- Previous experience with JDEGS or large ERP system and strong Excel capability
- Self-motivated, results-focused and able to work under pressure
Collaborative team player with strong work ethic and the ability to manage competing priorities
