Location: Sydney, NSW or Melbourne, VIC
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Business Development Manager to join a growing energy retailer at the forefront of Australia's transition to a low-carbon future.
Backed by a global energy group with strong trading capabilities and ambitious growth plans, this role will focus on driving new business growth across large Commercial & Industrial (C&I) customers throughout the National Electricity Market (NEM).
Working with some of Australia's largest energy users, you'll identify, develop and secure new business opportunities while helping customers navigate an increasingly complex energy landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Win new C&I energy retail customers across the NEM.
- Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to contract execution.
- Build strong relationships with brokers, consultants and key decision-makers.
- Develop and maintain a pipeline of opportunities, tenders and renewals.
- Deliver innovative energy solutions that create value for customers.
- Provide market insights and customer feedback to support business growth.
About You
- Proven success in energy retail sales or energy markets across complex B2B solution selling.
- Experience securing high-value commercial contracts and managing end-to-end sales cycles.
- Strong understanding of the Australian energy market and NEM.
- Knowledge of retail energy contracts, pricing structures and wholesale market dynamics.
- Existing relationships across brokers, consultants or channel partners.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Commercially driven, proactive and results-focused.
