The opportunity
This is a key leadership role within QBE’s People Risk Claims business, where you’ll lead a team of Injury Management Specialists and shape how healthcare services are delivered across our Claims portfolio in Workers Compensation (WC) ACT, NT & TAS as well as Compulsory Third Party (CTP) SA and QLD.
You’ll play a critical role in improving outcomes for injured people—driving effective treatment, rehabilitation and return to work strategies, while balancing customer experience, risk and financial performance.

Your new role
You’ll lead, influence and deliver across healthcare strategy and performance, including:
- Leading and developing a team of Injury Management Specialists to deliver strong customer and business outcomes
- Driving the implementation of injury management strategies to improve return to work and recovery outcomes
- Providing expert technical guidance and coaching to uplift capability across the team
- Managing complex and high-value claims, providing direction and oversight on strategy and resolution
- Overseeing rehabilitation and treatment provider performance, ensuring quality, value and effectiveness
- Identifying trends and insights to inform continuous improvement and claims performance outcomes
- Managing cost drivers across treatment, rehabilitation and medico-legal services
- Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders, suppliers and industry partners
- Representing QBE in external forums and contributing to broader healthcare and claims strategy
- Ensuring compliance with legislative and policy requirements across all activities
About You
- Experience in personal injury / People Risk Claims or strong exposure to the healthcare / rehabilitation ecosystem
- Proven people leadership capability
- Demonstrated success delivering initiatives that improve customer outcomes and operational performance
- Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills across internal teams and external partners
- Commercial and analytical mindset, able to balance cost, quality, risk and customer outcomes
- Background in allied health, injury management or healthcare services
