Talent Partner

Urban Utilities

At Urban Utilities, our purpose is simple yet powerful: Enrich Quality of Life. With a $7 billion asset base and services spanning 1.5 million residents and more than 31,000 commercial customers across South East Queensland, we are committed to enhancing the liveability of our communities every day.

Your Opportunity

Reporting to the Talent Lead, we are looking for an experienced Talent Partner to join our high performing Talent Team and support our Customer and Innovation and Digital and Information portfolios.

This is a great opportunity to partner closely with leaders across two diverse, future-focused areas of Urban Utilities, supporting recruitment activity that helps shape how we serve our customers, communities and people. You will manage full-cycle recruitment across a broad mix of roles, provide trusted advice to leaders, and help deliver a positive and consistent experience for candidates and stakeholders.

You’ll be joining a Talent Team we are genuinely proud of. We are collaborative, supportive and outcomes-focused, and while we take our work seriously, we do not take ourselves too seriously. We care about doing good work, backing each other up, sharing knowledge and continuing to improve how we attract, engage and hire great people for Urban Utilities.

What You’ll Deliver

  • Partner with leaders across the Customer and Innovation and Digital and Information portfolios to understand workforce needs and deliver effective recruitment outcomes.
  • Manage full-cycle recruitment activity across a diverse range of roles, ensuring a positive, timely and professional experience for candidates and stakeholders.
  • Provide practical advice and guidance on recruitment processes, sourcing strategies, market insights and selection approaches.
  • Bring our employee value proposition to life through engaging candidate interactions, quality advertising, proactive sourcing and strong stakeholder engagement.
  • Support continuous improvement across Talent processes, systems and ways of working to help deliver a responsive and high-quality recruitment service.

About You

  • Extensive experience managing full-cycle recruitment across a diverse workforce, ideally within a complex or multi-disciplinary organisation.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the confidence to partner with leaders and navigate competing priorities, organisational dynamics and ambiguity.
  • Ability to provide clear and practical advice on contemporary recruitment practices, talent initiatives and candidate attraction strategies.
  • Experience using recruitment technology (ideally WorkDay), sourcing platforms and market insights to support effective hiring outcomes.
  • A proactive and collaborative approach, with the ability to identify business-critical roles and support talent pipelining through diverse sourcing channels.
  • A genuine focus on experience, care and service delivery, with the ability to balance pace, quality and stakeholder needs.

At UU, we celebrate diversity. We genuinely believe that bringing together diversity of thoughts, perspectives and expressions is key and crucial to our success as a business. You might find you meet some, but not all, of the job requirements for this role. We’d still encourage you to apply as we’re looking for the right human being for this role. It’s about so much more than ticking all the boxes.

If you require adjustments at any stage of the recruitment process, please let us know so we can support you.
