Band 6 Salary Range: $97,245.14 to $105,466.60 per annum plus 12% superannuation

We have an exciting leadership opportunity within our Family Services team for a temporary full-time Team Leader of Early Learning and Care position based at the Traralgon Early Learning Centre until 24 December 2026.

About This Role

As Team Leader Early Learning & Care you will:

  • Lead an Early Learning and Care team to ensure the provision of quality children’s education and care services that meet state regulations, commonwealth funding guidelines and industry standards of best practice.
  • Be responsible for the efficient and effective management of relevant services and programs to ensure smooth daily operation under the direction of the Coordinator, Early Learning and Care.
  • Responsible for the administration tasks covering day to day functioning of childcare and preschool services within the area, including collection of fees, issuing of receipts, maintaining administration of Federal Government Funding including fee assistance, ISS (Inclusion Support Service), records of payments, monitoring of accounts.

About You

You will have a passion for delivering quality early learning and care services, and well-developed interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and support staff within a culture of continuous improvement.

You will need

  • A Degree or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and or substantial experience in children’s services is desirable
  • Proven experience in leading and supervising staff.
  • Demonstrated understanding of relevant legislation and guidelines relating to Childcare and Preschools
  • Demonstrated business acumen to ensure staff rosters are maintained and personnel administration, such as recruitment, are dealt with in a timely manner
  • The ability to analyse and resolve complex operational problems in a dynamic work environment.
  • Current Victorian Driver’s License
