About the Opportunity

As the Executive Assistant, AEDA, you’ll play a critical role in providing high-level executive and administrative support to the General Manager of the Adelaide Economic Development Agency (AEDA) and its management team. This role requires forward-thinking, ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders, strong attention to detail, an ability to anticipate needs, manage competing priorities, and ensure seamless operations within the Agency. From diary and email management to preparing briefings, presentations, and travel, you’ll be trusted to ensure the General Manager is well-informed and fully prepared for engagements.

You’ll also take a lead in managing administrative systems and support activities across AEDA, working closely with other staff to ensure Council requirements and legislative compliance are met. Your scope will include preparing reports, monitoring corporate correspondence and KPIs, and supporting the coordination of strategic documents like the Annual Business Plan and Budget.

In addition to providing a high standard of internal and external customer service, you’ll represent AEDA across committees and projects, maintain key registers in line with policy requirements, and liaise with other teams in the City of Adelaide. About You

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Demonstrated success in administrative support roles.
  • A high degree of expertise in the Microsoft Office Suite and a demonstrated ability to quickly learn in-house software programs.
  • Experience in creating engaging presentations.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and organise competing work demands and to operate efficiently under pressure and manage competing priorities to produce timely, high quality responses, maintain attention to detail and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated high level skills in dealing confidently and courteously with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders and customers to deliver quality outcomes.
