About the Role
An exciting opportunity exists for an HS1 Administration & Reception Worker to join the Health Independence Program (HIP) team. This varied and fast-paced role provides essential administrative and reception support to ensure the smooth operation of services. Responsibilities include front desk reception duties, patient administration system data entry, appointment scheduling, and ordering of supplies. You will play a key role in supporting patients, clinicians, and the wider multidisciplinary team, contributing to efficient service delivery and a positive patient experience.
Your Contribution
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
Experience working in a fast-paced reception or administrative environment
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
High level of computer literacy and confidence using administrative systems
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
Experience in a healthcare setting is desirable but not essential.
A current National Criminal History Check, or willingness to obtain, is required.
Classification: HS1 - HS17 ($58,442.80 - $64,610.00 per annum)

About the Health Independence Program (HIP)
The Health Independence Program is designed to improve client outcomes and support hospital flow by delivering integrated, coordinated care across hospital and community settings. The program reduces service duplication and fragmentation while promoting client-centred care planning. SVHM HIP operates across multiple sites, including Fitzroy, Kew, North Richmond, and Fairfield. This position sits within the Rehabilitation & Clinics stream, which includes Community Rehabilitation Centres (Kew and Fairfield), Rehabilitation in the Home services, and Specialist Clinics at Kew and Fitzroy.
The role is based at St George’s (Kew) Specialist Clinics, with the following working schedule:
Monday: 9:00am – 5:30pm
Tuesday to Friday: 8:00am – 4:30pm
