Position Type: Permanent Full Time (9 day fortnight, 38 hours/week)
Salary Range: Base Salary $34.24 per hour + super, plus overtime and penalty rates dependent on work performed. Additional entitlements and overtime do not form part of the advertised base salary

Although This Role Will Work Predominantly On The Roller For Our Rural Roads Team, This Position Plays a Key Role Operating a Range Of Plant And Trucks On Road Construction And Maintenance Works. This Will Include:
- Formulate plans of work as a part of the job analysis for individual projects and complete pre-start and pre-work checks to ensure the safe operation of all plant and trucks.
- Exercise responsibility for the maintenance and condition of trucks and plant which includes completing routine condition inspections, the reporting of faults or breakdowns, secure storage, cleaning and minor maintenance and repairs.
- Assist construction and maintenance personnel with labouring activities while onsite for Construction and Maintenance projects.
Qualifications And Experience
Mandatory
- Current "MR" driver's licence.
- Construction Industry White Card (30215 QLD).
- Roller Ticket.
- Traffic Management.
Desirable
- Experience in the operation of a range of plant (road roller/skid steer/backhoe/mini excavator/grader) to achieve construction tolerance for local authority works.
- Certificate associated with the successful completion of the Safe Working Near Live Exposed Parts training course.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise tasks to achieve set outcomes and ability to create effective working relationships to ensure team objectives are met.
- Knowledge and experience in the efficient and safe operation of heavy ridged vehicles and other item of plant; including servicing requirements and prestart checks and basic mechanical knowledge associated with day-to-day maintenance of plant and trucks.
- Basic knowledge of construction and maintenance practices associated with the development and maintenance of municipal infrastructure.
