THE ROLE

Working as a Senior Project Officer in the new Service Development and Implementation team, you'll be driving projects that develop, test and deliver new approaches to the provision of public housing services, particularly in response to significant changes in legislation, policy or the operating environment. You will be part of a team that translates reform intent into affordable, implementable and practical service models that can be trialled and refined. You will also be responsible for projects that seek to drive improvements in the way public housing services are delivered, embedding a culture of continuous improvement in response to priority projects identified by the Housing and Homelessness Stewardship Group as well as supporting the decommissioning of service responses that are no longer fit for purpose, derisking change through structured approaches and learnings from real world delivery.

Accountabilities Include

  • Develop operations and practice initiatives to support the pursuit of strategic directions for managing and delivering high quality housing services.
  • Provide problem solving and evaluation strategies to address specific issues related to the effective provision and implementation of required service outcomes.
  • Undertake complex research and investigations into service delivery issues, risks and trends impacting on achieving key business objectives, policy initiatives and operational imperatives.
