  • Support and/or lead monthly close activities, ensuring journals, accruals, prepayments, and adjustments are accurately recorded and completed on time.
  • Perform timely bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations, investigating and resolving reconciling items promptly.
  • Monitor close deadlines and deliverables to help ensure a disciplined and efficient reporting cycle.
  • Provide variance analysis and commentary to support visibility over financial performance.
  • Support the preparation and submission of BAS and IAS returns.
  • Perform payroll tax calculations and arrange payments on time.
  • Maintain the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger.
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls, policies, and finance procedures.
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, efficiencies, and ways of working.
  • Support finance transformation initiatives where applicable.
  • Collaborate with FP&A, operational teams, and other internal departments to ensure accurate financial data and reporting.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards, including IFRS and GAAP principles.
  • Excellent understanding of month-end close processes and reporting cycles.
  • Solid experience in balance sheet reconciliations and investigating reconciling items.
  • Experience supporting statutory and tax compliance activities, including BAS, IAS, and payroll tax.
  • Strong general ledger, internal controls, and financial reporting capability.
  • Ability to analyse financial results, identify variances, and provide clear commentary.
  • A continuous improvement mindset with the ability to identify process efficiencies and support transformation initiatives.
  • Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Collaborative communication style with the ability to work effectively across finance and operational teams.
