The Position

Cenitex is reshaping its role as the default ICT shared services provider to the Victorian Government. As part of this transformation, the Executive Director, IT Support Services role has been established aligned to a “plan, build, run” operating model focused on strengthening enterprise capability and enabling a more integrated approach to technology service delivery.

The Executive Director, IT Support Services leads the “run” of enterprise-wide ICT services, bringing together service management, service desk, security operations and platform support into a unified, high performing operating model.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and part the Executive Leadership Team, this role is critical to delivering reliable, responsive and customer focused services at scale across government.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead delivery of enterprise IT support services including service desk, service management, security operations and platform support.
  • Drive a consistent, end-to-end service management approach aligned to ITIL practices across all customer environments.
  • Ensure high quality, reliable and responsive support services across a large and complex customer base.
  • Maintain visibility and accountability across service performance, incidents and operational outcomes.
  • Enable integration of multiple service environments into a more standardised and unified operating model.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement, automation and service optimisation.

You will bring:

  • Proven executive leadership experience in complex ICT or service operations environments, ideally at enterprise or government scale.
  • Strong experience in enterprise IT service management, service desk operations and customer support environments.
  • Demonstrated capability managing large-scale service environments with a focus on performance, reliability and responsiveness.
  • A track record of improving service delivery through process optimisation, standardisation and continuous improvement.
  • Strong stakeholder capability, with the ability to operate across multiple business units or agencies in complex environments.
  • A collaborative leadership style suited to an environment that values teamwork, openness and cross-functional delivery.

Operating within a complex, Whole of Victorian Government (WoVG) ecosystem, Cenitex plays a central role in aligning technology strategy, service delivery and investment to support system-wide reform, efficiency and modernisation across the public sector.
