This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone looking to build a career in Information Technology. This traineeship combines hands-on experience managing technology in business settings with formal education in relevant theory and practices.

You’ll work alongside experienced technicians, gaining practical skills in IT support, Cloud Systems, systems setup, and user management.

Key Responsibilities

– Assist senior technicians with responding to and resolving day-to-day IT support tasks for a wide range of users.

– Configure and deploy technology systems including laptop/desktop computers, telephony solutions, email and collaboration systems, user accounts, and security infrastructure.

– Contribute to troubleshooting of software, infrastructure, network, and security issues.

– Provide frontline technology support with support, identifying and troubleshooting technical faults, and participating in larger incident management events

– Visit remote sites around Sydney to perform maintenance, assist users, and assist with upgrades.

– Accurately prepare and deploy modern equipment to users and sites to ensure high levels of service and satisfaction for staff.

– Maintain accurate documentation and asset records, contributing to procedural improvements within the team

– Assist with general duties within the technology team and office.

About You

– A demonstrated interest in Information Technology or related fields. You do not need to have previous work experience, but informal, voluntary, or self-directed technology experience will be looked upon favourably.

– Excellent communication skills, including the ability to interact with a wide range of people from different backgrounds.

– Strong teamwork skills, including experience taking direction from managers, and working collaboratively with team members to achieve a common goal.

– Willingness to learn and develop technical skills, including the ability to follow processes, and identify anomalies.

– Good personal presentation and bearing, suitable for work in professional environments

Details

Location: Inner West (Leichhardt) and Sydney CBD

Hours: Full-time (Monday–Friday, 37.5 hours/week, including training time)
