About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Head of Logistics & Customer Management to lead our national logistics, inventory and customer service functions across a complex frozen food supply chain.
Reporting to the Supply Chain Director, you will be responsible for the strategic and operational performance of warehousing, transport, inventory control, import/export logistics and customer service. Managing approximately $70 million in annual spend, you will drive service excellence, cold chain compliance, inventory accuracy, cost efficiency and continuous improvement.
This senior leadership role partners closely with Manufacturing, Planning, Procurement, Sales, Finance and Quality teams to deliver integrated supply chain outcomes while balancing customer expectations, operational performance and supply chain resilience. Your duties will include but not be limited to;
- Leading national frozen warehousing operations across internal and third-party facilities
- Managing the national transport network for frozen finished goods and related logistics movements
- Driving customer experience, service performance, issue resolution and customer communication
- Owning national inventory accuracy, stock integrity and inventory governance
- Overseeing import/export logistics, freight forwarding, customs clearance and compliance
- Managing major logistics budgets, forecasts, contracts and cost improvement initiatives
- Strengthening governance, risk management, food safety, quality, cold chain and compliance outcomes
- Leading continuous improvement, network optimisation, standardisation and transformation initiatives
About You
You are a confident and collaborative leader who can build effective teams, communicate clearly, manage complexity and influence stakeholders across the business and externally. You lead with accountability, pace and integrity while creating a safe, supportive and high-performing team environment. You will show experience and have skills in the following areas;
- Significant senior leadership experience in logistics and distribution management, with relevant tertiary qualifications
- Experience in frozen, chilled, food manufacturing, FMCG, grocery, foodservice or temperature-controlled logistics
- Proven experience managing large-scale warehousing and transport operations
- Strong commercial experience managing major logistics budgets and third-party contracts
- Experience leading customer experience functions in a complex supply chain environment
- Strong inventory control, stock governance and operational compliance capability
- Experience with import/export logistics, customs, freight forwarding or international supply chains
- A track record of delivering service improvement, cost reduction and operational transformation
