About the opportunity
As Retail Network Planning Lead (North – NSW/ACT, QLD, NT) you’ll drive a forward-thinking, data-led strategy that keeps our network strong, relevant, and competitive in a changing market.
Working closely with stakeholders across the business, you’ll champion innovation, uncover growth opportunities, and ensure our Retail network delivers both commercial performance and exceptional community value.
There may be some requirement to travel interstate.
What you’ll deliver with us
Align the network strategy with broader business goals to deliver meaningful transformation, strengthen operational performance, and enhance the Australia Post brand by proactively addressing evolving customer needs, market trends, and efficiency opportunities.
You’ll also
- Work with regional teams including GM's, Territory Managers and Field Leads to understand the region’s specific network planning requirements (short, medium and long term) and contribute to the development and maintenance of the national network plan. This includes all current and future formats and ownerships models.
- Analysing and interpreting local data relating to population growth projections, residential development, store performance etc in order to recommend enhancements to the network plan and its supporting processes.
- Critically analyse, assess, and complete proforma templates— including, but not limited to, Network Change Briefs, fit-out briefs, and leasing documentation - ensuring all content is robust, data-driven and aligned to organisational standards. Adhere to all required governance, endorsement, and approval processes, progressing each deliverable through the defined workflow to finalisation.
- With assistance from Group Property, identify and complete detailed site location assessments for existing and new sites aligning with network plan and desired format.
- In conjunction with Group Property ensure that leases are renewed on-time and that the negotiated lease terms and conditions achieve the cost, time and flexibility objectives of the network plan. Complete business cases for all regional fit outs (new outlets or relocations) as identified from the network plan.
About you
You’re confident working with data and know how to turn insights into action. A strategic, forward thinker, you’re self-driven and motivated to deliver results. You build strong relationships and can collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders and bring experience across key strategic areas including network planning and catchment planning, leasing, and outlet design.
You’ll also need
