Canteen Manager

Fixed Term (12 months)
The Geelong College is seeking an experienced, reliable and customer-focused Canteen Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the College canteen.
Reporting to the Catering Manager, this is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with strong food service experience and a commitment to providing safe, nutritious and high-quality food services to students and staff.
The successful applicant will be responsible for managing canteen operations, maintaining compliance with food safety regulations, supervising staff, and ensuring the efficient delivery of canteen services across the College.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants should demonstrate:
- Previous experience in food service operations
- Sound knowledge of food hygiene standards and food allergen/intolerance management
- Demonstrated understanding of food handling regulations
- Certificate III in Food Safety or equivalent Food Handling qualification
- Experience working with children and young people
- Experience working in a school canteen or similar environment
- Food Safety Supervisor Certificate including HACCP will be highly regarded
- Previous supervisory or staff management experience (desirable)
Essential Compliance Requirements
- Hold a current Working with Children Check (Employee) or be willing to obtain one
- Complete the Victorian Department of Education's Protecting Children – Mandatory Reporting and Other Obligations training
- Hold or obtain an Asthma First Aid in Schools Certificate
- Provide evidence of the right to work in Australia
Multiple Opportunities Available
The College is currently advertising several positions within our catering and canteen operations, including Catering Manager, Catering Assistant and Canteen Attendant roles.
