Salary: $150,000 - $190,000 + Super

Core Talent is partnering with a leading national construction business to recruit an experienced Project Manager for their growing fit-out division.

This is an opportunity to join a well-established contractor with a strong reputation for delivering complex projects across the education sector. The role will focus on fit-out and refurbishment projects within major university environments, offering a diverse mix of challenging works including laboratory upgrades, live campus refurbishments, heritage restoration and specialist teaching facilities.

Project values typically range from $2M - $10M, providing the opportunity to lead technically complex projects while maintaining close involvement throughout the project lifecycle.

The Role

As Project Manager, you will take ownership of projects from pre-construction through to completion, ensuring delivery on programme, budget, quality and safety targets.

Key responsibilities

• Managing multiple fit-out and refurbishment projects across university campuses valued between $2M - $10M
• Leading project teams including Site Managers, Contract Administrators and subcontractors
• Managing client relationships and stakeholder engagement within live operational environments
• Overseeing procurement, programme management and commercial performance
• Driving project outcomes across safety, quality and programme objectives
• Managing heritage-sensitive works and technically complex laboratory upgrade projects
• Coordinating consultants, authorities and specialist subcontractors

About You

• Proven Project Management experience within fit-out, refurbishment or interiors construction
• Experience delivering education, commercial, healthcare or government projects
• Strong understanding of contracts, procurement and project financials
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to manage projects in live and highly regulated environments
• Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Engineering or a related discipline preferred
