Projects from $5m to $20m+ across apartment and residential builds as well as a variety of sectors including commercial, industrial, retail and across new build, refurb and fit out.
Our client is a growing developer builder and developer who also undertake some client-side consultancy project management work. They are seeking an experienced Contracts Administrator or Assistant Project Manager or Site Engineer who will take on a role of Assistant Project Manager in the business. It will be working on a mix of exciting new projects including new build apartment, townhouse, industrial as well as commercial projects in the Brisbane City Fringe. Projects will be from smaller up to $20m+.
Project experience specifically related to residential, townhouses, apartments, industrial, retail and commercial etc. Candidates can come from main contractor, client-side, consultancy or developer.
Candidates having experience in head contracting would suit their developer builder projects so people with a background as a contract administrator or site engineer on the head contractor side would be ideal. They will also have the opportunity to learn the developer side.
Responsibilities include but not limited to
- Client management and consultation
- Project Planning/Feasibility studies
- Risk Management
- Value Engineering
- Design Management
- Procurement of construction services
- Delivery of constructions services
- Cost control and cost reporting and superintendent
- Commissioning and post contract duties for handover
Qualifications and Requirements
- Tertiary Qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, or similar
- Experience on residential/accommodation building projects
- Ideally experience of end-to-end project management on building projects
- Leadership skills
- Strategic thinker who is able to see the bigger picture
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Previous client-side project management experience is ideal
