DFP Recruitment is seeking an experienced Commercial Lawyer to join a highly regarded Commercial Law team in Adelaide.

This opportunity is suited to a Senior Associate or experienced Commercial Lawyer looking to take the next step in their career. Working alongside respected practitioners, you will manage a diverse portfolio of commercial matters, build strong client relationships and play a key role in mentoring junior lawyers and supporting the growth of the practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a broad range of commercial law matters from inception through to completion
  • Provide commercially focused legal advice to a diverse client base
  • Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements and legal documentation
  • Advise clients on business acquisitions, disposals and restructuring matters
  • Assist with business structuring, asset protection and governance matters
  • Prepare and advise on joint ventures, partnerships and shareholder agreements
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships as a trusted advisor
  • Collaborate with Partners on complex and strategic matters
  • Mentor and supervise junior lawyers and support staff
  • Participate in networking, business development and client engagement activities
  • Ensure effective file management, risk management and compliance practices

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Minimum 5 years' post-admission experience in Commercial Law
  • Demonstrated experience advising clients across a broad range of commercial matters
  • Strong technical legal knowledge and commercial acumen
  • Proven ability to manage matters autonomously and deliver practical solutions
  • Experience developing and maintaining client relationships
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation and communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • A proactive, client-focused and solutions-driven approach
  • Experience mentoring or supervising junior lawyers will be highly regarded
