Administration Officer (Travel)

This important service plays a key role in supporting both patients and staff across Central Queensland by coordinating travel and accommodation arrangements throughout the Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service. About the role:
- Coordinate patient and staff travel, accommodation bookings, and travel claims, ensuring timely service and compliance with Queensland Health policies.
- Provide expert advice on travel and accommodation options, including managing complex, non-standard, and Patient Travel Subsidy Scheme requests.
- Maintain accurate travel records, applications, claims, and booking information while ensuring confidentiality and attention to detail.
- Exercise sound judgement to achieve cost-effective travel outcomes, prevent unnecessary expenses, and support financial reconciliation processes.
- Deliver high-quality customer service by liaising with patients, carers, healthcare providers, and staff, while contributing to a collaborative and supportive team environment.
As the successful applicant, you will demonstrate:
- Knowledge, or the ability to quickly acquire knowledge, of travel administration processes and cost-effective travel arrangements in line with Queensland Health policies and guidelines.
- Strong computer and database skills, with the ability to manage travel-related information, accounts processing, and compliance requirements accurately.
- Excellent keyboard, data entry, and administrative skills, with a high level of speed and accuracy.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to negotiate, consult, and build positive relationships with a diverse range of clients and stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively, manage competing priorities, and contribute to continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.
Total remuneration value of up to $100,585 p.a. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $39.98 - $44.46 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
