About the role
We’re seeking a Solutions Delivery Manager to play a critical role in coordinating resources, delivering change, and supporting systems delivered through project delivery. The core purpose of this position is to manage the technical delivery of complex projects/programs and system/platform upgrades, ensuring the right delivery structure is in place so MUFG Pension & Market Services Retirement Solutions business can scale efficiently.
You’ll sit at the intersection of project delivery and Technology Operations—bringing clarity to scope, estimates, resourcing, governance, and technical readiness—while helping multi-disciplinary teams deliver quality outcomes on time and within budget.

What you’ll be doing
Strategic focus (estimation, planning, governance)
- Lead the technical aspects of early estimation/discovery, including resource estimates, planning, and funding inputs across multiple systems and services.
- Partner with disciplinary leads to clearly define scope, deliverables, timelines, resourcing (internal/external), and costs, and track delivery against agreed budgets.
- Support resourcing models within the PMO to ensure they are current and accurate, enabling forecasting of demand peaks/troughs (including predicted resource shortfalls).
- Work with the Architecture Team to ensure solutions align to agreed architectural standards and strategic direction before release to Production. Ensure change and estimation activities adopt fit-for-purpose methodology, tooling, and governance—Agile preferred but not mandated.
Operational management (delivery, execution, issue management)
- Coordinate technical resources to ensure change and remediation work is delivered on time, with quality, and within budget
- Provide Project Managers and Change stakeholders with a dedicated point of contact into Technology Operations.
- Ensure Technology Operations teams have clearly articulated work items/tasks scheduled at the right time to support successful delivery.
- Coordinate workload throughout iterations (where Agile is used) to meet commitments and manage the impact of unplanned work.
- Proactively manage issues and blockers to maintain velocity and momentum toward milestones.
- Identify early warning signs and respond decisively to delivery challenges. Ensure solutions are appropriately signed off and documented as part of the deliverable process.
People leadership (collaboration and culture)
- Collaborate with other Solutions Delivery Managers across Technology Operations to stay across the broader delivery portfolio—sharing knowledge and gaining support where needed. Encourage a culture of innovation focused on adding value, creating space for people to think creatively.
Governance & risk (visibility and stakeholder management)
- Provide regular updates to the Sr. Manager, Delivery Enablement, clearly articulating progress, risks, issues, and concerns so they can be escalated or addressed. Ensure timely stakeholder communications at key points and contribute to project status updates.
What we’re looking for
Essential experience
- 5–10 years’ experience in an information systems operations environment (systems analysis or development).
- Demonstrated delivery experience across multi-disciplinary teams (software, COTS, and ideally Azure Cloud).
- Strong technology background with experience delivering changes related to software/COTS deliverables.
- Proven project management capability, including planning, resource management, and estimation for business cases. Advanced knowledge of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and delivery governance.
- Strong stakeholder management—able to influence and provide clear, confident updates to senior Business and Technology stakeholders.
- Ability to balance multiple priorities and work effectively in ambiguity.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Desirable experience
- Experience using Agile delivery tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, JIRA or similar) and matrix-managing multi-disciplinary teams.
- Understanding of CI/CD enablement and modern ALM/SDLC tooling (e.g., Azure DevOps, JIRA, GitHub).
- Financial services and/or Superannuation experience.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, and/or equivalent experience.
- Cloud fundamentals or advanced cloud/data certification (Azure preferred). Agile Scrum Master or PMBOK certification
