Employment Type: 6x Permanent Full Time / Permanent Part Time

Remuneration: $74,317.93 - $104,336.26 per annum / $37.48 - $52.62 per hour

Hours Per Week: 38 (Job share may be considered for part time hours)

What you'll be doing

As a Registered Midwife, you’ll provide holistic, women and family-centred care to support positive birthing experiences and outcomes. You’ll collaborate with a skilled multidisciplinary team and contribute to continuous quality improvement across the maternity service.

  • Deliver safe, evidence-informed midwifery care across birthing and maternity units

  • Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualised care plans

  • Promote and uphold professional midwifery standards and best practice

  • Support, mentor and guide students and fellow midwives

  • Foster open communication and teamwork to enhance patient outcomes

Essential Criteria

  • Registration: Currently authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)

Selection Criteria

  • Identify your area of specialty or interest from the following selection - birthing, maternity, women's health clinics, midwifery at home, midwifery continuity of care models.

  • Recent relevant experience in a clinical setting as deemed appropriate by WSLHD.

  • Provide name and contact details (phone number and email) of two referees, one of which must be a current line manager.

  • Effective interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with clients.

  • Excellent time management and organisation skills with attention to detail.
