About the Role

BRAMS is seeking a Child Health Nurse to support Aboriginal children aged 0-5 and their families across Broome, WA. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you'll deliver developmental assessments, immunisations, health education and early intervention services through clinic, outreach and home-based care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivering developmental assessments, growth monitoring and childhood immunisations
  • Supporting families through health education, parenting guidance and early intervention services
  • Identifying developmental concerns and coordinating referrals to appropriate services
  • Conducting home visits, outreach clinics and community-based consultations
  • Collaborating with GPs, Aboriginal Health Practitioners and allied health teams to deliver integrated care

About You

To be successful, you will have:

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
  • A postgraduate qualification in Child and Family Health
  • Experience delivering Child and Family Health services within a community, primary healthcare, Aboriginal health or remote health setting
  • A current Australian driver's licence

The following will be highly regarded:

  • Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities
  • Experience conducting developmental assessments and childhood immunisations
  • Familiarity with MMEx or similar electronic health record systems
  • Knowledge of child protection and mandatory reporting requirements
